WHAT'S NEW AT SCIM
IN 2027

Following the launch of our flagship V2 Rosebank campus in 2026 — new CDJ3000/V10 DJ studios, expanded modular synthesis lab, dedicated visual mapping room and doubled production workstations — SCIM enters 2027 with our most refined and ambitious programme yet.

Our new Higher Certificate in Music Technology (HCERT DMPA) has been rebuilt from the ground up. This 12-month flagship takes serious students through the full modern production pipeline — music theory, modal composition, sound design, mixing and mastering, modular synthesis, MPE, film scoring and vocal production. Alongside it we run the 4-month DMPA Fundamentals, plus in-person DJ & Live Performance and our full online catalogue (Music Business with Kasango, Music Theory, and DMPA Online).

Certified Ableton Training Partner

Through our partnership with Ableton, every music production student receives their own Ableton Live Suite 12 educational licence (retail value R17,000) as part of their course, at a fraction of the cost. Our HCERT and DMPA Fundamentals cohorts get the software included with tuition.

Our flagship 12-month Higher Certificate leaves no stone unturned in exploring the depths of each aspect of modern production and composition. This intensive and challenging course will push you to the limit and demand that you rise up.

Designed for the user who is either not ready to commit to the one-year certificate or just wants to dip their toes into the beautiful art of music production.

Our 8-week DJ course fast-tracks you through the core skills of modern DJing, from beatmatching and phrase mixing to performing confidently on professional club-standard gear, all in our newly upgraded, soundproofed DJ studios.
